My final treat for today is 3 different versions of the same song. You can't have Halloween without "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and I think this is my favorite song from the whole movie.
The original:
Marilyn Manson's cover:
Panic! At The Disco's cover:
Part 2 of my Halloween treats is an "Even Stevphen" clip from "The Daily Show". "Even Stevphen" is my favorite segment from "The Daily Show" and this one always makes me laugh. I'm so glad they finally put the classic "Daily Show" moments online. Enjoy!
I've got some Halloween treats to share today so I figured I'd get the first out of the way before I went to yoga.
This is a mashup by DJ John and it's a mashup between "Devil Went Down to Georgia" by The Charles Daniels Band and "D.E.V.I.L" by 666. Enjoy!

First up, vampire cupcakes that "bleed":
I baked my cupcakes, used the cupcake-filling technique I used on my devil’s food cupcakes to fill the cakes up with pureed cherry pie filling (canned or homemade) and topped them off with white icing to best accentuate the red bite marks. I made the marks using a skewer dipped in leftover cherry filling, making sure to leave a clear impression of a fang bite, rather than just a red streak on top of the cake.
They give a recipe for the cupcakes & frosting but I'm sure you could always use boxed cake mix & pre-made frosting if you wanted to (I know I would) and you can always replace the cherry filling with strawberry or raspberry filling.
Next up are mummy cookies:
And finally, gingerbread skeleton cookies:
I would make one of these recipes this week but I just don't have the time. They all look delicious though.
