Loathe:
- Ripping my favorite pair of jeans in an unfortunate spot and thus forcing me to go buy new ones
- Waking up early for a dentist appointment
- The sun going away
- Christian Bale being arrested for assault (I'm still trying to wrap my head around that)
- "The Dark Knight"
- The Bite of Seattle (I ate way too much but it was all really good food)
- Finding an apartment (it has a teeny tiny kitchen but it'll work)
- Actually having time to read books
So that Boeing Power On energy drink? It tastes like a melted Otter Pop mixed with carbonated water. And not in a good way. Not to mention that it was a weird yellow color that, when I poured it into a glass, looked like urine. I only made it through about half of it before I gave up and dumped it down the sink. I'm tempted to monitor my vitals for the next couple of hours just to see if it had any effect on them.
Show us the book you're reading right now.

I'm actually in between books right now. I finished this book late last night/early this morning:
and I'll most likely be starting this book tonight:
Went to see "The Dark Knight" today and it was excellent. A bit long but still excellent. Heath Ledger was brilliant as the Joker. (I can see why there's talk of a posthumous Oscar.) My only complaint is that it was a bit predictable at times although I think that's due to the fact that I've seen to many movies.
I guess I do have one more complaint - the people sitting next to me would not shut up during the movie. I swear the girl sitting right next to me repeated about 1/4 of the lines and made comments on the other 3/4. I'm fine with people commenting during the previews but once the movie starts, talking should stop. Unless you're watching the movie in the privacy of your own home. (I wasn't the only one who was annoyed with her either. The people sitting behind her kept trying to shut her up too. Unfortunately, to no avail.)
But anyway. A++. Would go see (and probably will) again.
A little over a year ago Boeing launched the new 787 Dreamliner. While the first 787 has yet to take flight (and for reasons I can't divulge, don't expect it to anytime soon), they have officially turned the "power on". At least according to all the new Boeing 787 swag my dad gave me today.
First up is the 787 Power On pack:
It includes a 787 Power On flashlight which, instead of shining a normal light, shines a 787 Power On logo. (There's also a Power On pin which I didn't take a picture of.)
Inside the pack was a can of the official 787 Power On energy drink:
I haven't tried it yet and to be honest, I'm a little afraid of what it might taste like.
I'm amazed at all the stuff Boeing is giving away in regards to the 787. What I've shown in this entry and last year's is only about half the 787 stuff my dad has gotten. (He's been keeping all the shirts, hats, and fleece vests.) The plane is way behind schedule and things aren't working the way they're supposed to but they still have the time and money to give their workers 787 swag. Let's hope the plane is worth all this stuff.
Loathe:
- Idiot drivers who breeze through a stop sign when it's not their turn
- Being summoned for jury duty twice (and they're only a week apart too)
- Finding an apartment
- Random bees that keep showing up in my parents' house
- "The Dark Knight" opening on Friday (I should go buy my ticket)
- The warm weather that doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon
- Finding new, well-written fan fiction to read
- Finally getting a copy of season 2 of "Psych" (a week after it came out)
- Clean sheets
I know they talk to her a little bit in the article but you gotta wonder what the 83 year-old woman between their two houses really thinks about all of this. And if she's also doing something to reduce her carbon footprint (besides letting Bill Nye replace the fence between their houses).
A new promo for the upcoming season of "Eureka" (starts July 29th on Sci-Fi) with the cast singing "Won't You Be My Neighbor?" from "Mister Roger's Neighborhood".
Loathe:
- Being woken up early by my neighbors yelling at their dog
- Fred Meyer's not having season 2 of "Psych" even though it came out on DVD today
- Best Buy selling season 2 of "Psych" for $45 (I'm not willing to pay that much for it yet)
- The new season of "Burn Notice" that starts on Thursday (even if I won't be able to watch it until Friday)
- Best Buy selling season 4 of "Stargate Atlantis" for $35 (surprisingly cheaper than every place else)
- The good food that's sure to be at the family picnic on Saturday (that reminds me, I need to make the rolls on Friday)
- The fact that since it's after the 4th of July, it's officially summer here in Seattle

Wow. I've seen less than half of those movies. A lot of them I've seen clips of/caught some on TV but never sat down and watched the whole thing. Some of them are in my Netflix queue so I will get around to seeing them eventually.
