I don't think many radio stations play "Stop the Cavalry" anymore but when I was younger (and KOMO AM still played Christmas music), I would hear it quite often. Along with "12 White Boomers" (Bloomers?) or whatever that Australian Christmas song is.
Thank you for putting this classic song on your site. I remember when it was 1st released. Also, where did you get your copy from?

I've loved ! and enjoyed
Hi Jonathan and Merry Christmas,
My dad passed away in 1998 at 50 years old and this was his very favorite song! He would dance around the house and act like he was one of the singers! So neat to hear your Dad was one of the real singers. This song means Christmas to me as it brings back wonderful memories of my Dad. Thank you for sharing your story!
This is clearly a classic, made before my time but many of the more senior members of the Gwalia Singers
May I reply to a comment by iread made a year back, 'Six White Boomers' was recorded by Rolf Harris (written by him) in the late 60's when pop artists were almost 'required' to do Christmas records - boomers = kangaroos. It was a nice record brought out whilst 'Sun Arise' was still in people's minds at least in the UK . Somehow these type of songs and artists (like Gwalia Singers) do last, whilst less 'polished' have no ability to bring a smile with the memory.
